Contest “Shokado Style Bento” supervised by Japan Airlines Chef✈

Hello everyone!

This time we have a project with Japan Airlines!

We held a recipe contest for Shokado bento using ingredients from Kishiwada City and Sennan City 👏✨.

This project was actually started on behalf of JAL's initiative to "create a signature product that can earn money for the region by utilizing the region's unique tourism resources" ☝️✨.

Once again, the students came up with a variety of recipes!

Presentations, students created slides using an app to make them visually appealing and easy to understand.

What future chefs will need is the ability to "communicate".

Students will acquire that skill in this class.

 

Edomae Tamagoyaki using ”Musomaru eggs” produced in Kishiwada City won the Grand Prize.

This time, the key point🔑 was to keep the taste even after a long time since it was developed for a boxed lunch!

The students substituted cornstarch for potato starch to keep the quality of the dish from losing its flavor over time!

At the end of the event, we received a few words from the Executive Chef of JAL Royal Catering.

A tasting of this bento is scheduled for November 20 at Izumi Campus!!
